My name is Melanie and I specialize in Newborn Photography.  I have just over 15 years of experience photographing precious new babies.  In addition to newborns, I also enjoy photographing children and families.  

My first career was teaching which lead to my love of working with children and families.  I have 5 children of my own ranging from 9 years to 19!  As a mother, I know the importance of having photographs that document the many stages of life because they grow so quickly. In April of 2009, I photographed my first newborn and I fell in love instantly! There is nothing like capturing the tiny features of a fresh newborn. I specialize in newborns and have photographed over 1,000 in my career so far!

My studio, attached to my home, provides a comfortable, private place for my clients to sit back and relax while I capture priceless images of their little ones. My clients never feel rushed and I take the time to make sure the entire family feels comfortable. I typically only schedule 1-2 clients per day, so you are my number one priority on the day of your session.

Most of my sessions take place in my studio, but I can do sessions outdoors in the evening during the spring/summer/fall just before sunset. The late evening provides the best light for outdoor portraits.
